The internet was the ideal outlet for Hyde Park mother Shannon Fewings-Hall.

She started her online business, Minifashionista, stocking children’s clothes, toys and accessories, from home in 2007, when her twins turned three and her eldest daughter five.

“I wanted to do something intellectually stimulating but with flexibility, and it was not going to be possible to open a store,” Ms Fewings-Hall said.

“I wanted to do something that wasn’t going to compromise caring for my children.”

Now that her children are a bit older, Ms Fewings-Hall works from an office in Unley in an effort to keep her worklife separate from home.
